Bechtle AG has unveiled its new website, which combines the corporate website and store on a single platform. With a new design, expanded customer services, and a future-oriented IT architecture, the entire Bechtle portfolio is visible on the web for the first time. Neofonie supports Bechtle with IT consulting and concrete technical implementation.

Bechtle AG is one of the leading IT trading companies in Europe. More than 70 system houses offer over 70,000 hardware and software products and full IT services. In the future, all business areas and services were to be integrated on one platform and flexibly adapted to the customer’s needs. For this purpose, a modern and future-proof infrastructure was to be developed. Neofonie was contracted as IT consulting and implementation partner for the content management area.

Now, bechtle.com is the new central information platform and B2B online store at the same time. Neofonie developed a content solution for this and integrated it with a store solution. The CMS Magnolia Enterprise Edition Pro and SAP Hybris are used, as well as other specialist services. Thus, all information about the company, all services and products, as well as blog and magazine content from Bechtle are united on one page. The entire site is designed for simple, friendly, and intuitive user guidance in the spirit of customer centricity.

For the selection and evaluation of suitable enterprise content management solutions, Neofonie advised on the creation of the basis for decision-making and carried out a CMS evaluation.

The architecture concept was also redesigned, based on distributed systems and microservices, allowing vertical integration.
