Fan app renewal
The Berlin Bundesliga team Füchse Berlin has maintained close contact with its fans from the very beginning. In order to provide them with all the latest news from the Fuchsbau and the team environment in a timely manner, the previous fan app is to be brought up to date, and not only from a technical point of view. The Cordova-based cross-platform app had some performance and technical problems, so that extensions were no longer possible. Due to the experience with large, demanding projects and the broad technical know-how, Füchse Berlin commissioned Neofonie Mobile with the new development of the app and decided on a two-year app partnership.

Next generation app development
With the new Füchse app, a high-performing and flexible app was created that also offers plenty of room for future enhancements.
To first eliminate the most urgent problems in the old app, the backend was consolidated and the first bugs were fixed. It quickly became clear that a new development was necessary. In cooperation with the Füchse team, the web agency WMedia and Neofonie Mobile, a new app for iOS and Android was developed within two months.
The latest state of the art technologies are used: SwiftUI for iOS and Jetpack Compose for Android provide a modern and user-centric interface. In the backend, Neofonie Mobile relies on Kotlin Multiplatform as the data layer. The lean code structure improves maintainability and increases performance.
Modern design and new features
The new Füchse Berlin app impresses with high performance, new features and a completely new user experience. The modern infrastructure provides the basis for further system integration and customization options. New features such as the show light, the betting game and the digital hall booklet have already been integrated. Further innovations are planned over the course of the season. With the new app, the foxes benefit from a stronger proximity to fans and sponsors and set the course for the expansion of the fan base.
